Satzstellung

This is a powerpoint presentation about the German word order. It contains 22 slides and covers the word order in a main-clause, using link words, separable verbs, past and future tense. When you are beginner do only as much as you have done so far, otherwise it will get too confusing.

I hope this will help and take your time.

 

Nebensätze

The word order in a sub-clause ist different. So far we have learned that the verb (conjugated verb) has to be in position 2. In a sub-clause the verb is thrown to the end.

Here is a matching up activity to practice the use of «weil» and «um ... zu ». After this you should be able to form your own sentences.
